Day Twenty-Nine: What Your Overall Opinion was of Season Three
This show is the most creative show on my watchlist.
Compared to other shows out there, this show really is of extraordinary quality. Extraordinary may be bad for some, but for people like me, it’s awesome. What other show does an 8-bit episode? Or does a sci-fi episode with the premise of fetching pizza? Or names one of its male characters Piercinald Anastasia Hawthorne? None.
Also, with all the homage episodes they did this season, obviously the writers were inspired (or drunk or high or both) when they paid respect to some pop culture classics by somehow making it work in a community college setting. A Ken Burns style documentary of the war between Blanketsburg and Fluffy Town is a sentence I never thought I’d write but there it is. There was also some court room drama featuring a smushed up yam and a meth lab explosion in a car trunk. And a musical episode featuring original songs and singing Christmas balls.
Some people say the show tried too hard in its third season and crumbled under all the hype it was getting. But I think it just embraced the fact that the public will always prefer to watch a group of nerdy physicists and said ‘screw it, i’ll do what i want if it means i have very little time to do it.’ And I for one just want them to wring out all the creative juices they have in their systems before NBC pulls the plug. Or ruins it by slowly stripping it of what made it special in the first place.
But the important thing is.
TWO MORE DAYS AND TOMORROW THE WORLD WILL BE RIGHT AGAIN.
